Laying hold

Praise the LORD!!!

With the beginning of a new year many people's minds are focused on that which lays ahead and that which is behind. When really the matter that should be our primary focus, "is that which today holds."

We are not promised a future day, but are given this one alone and that which we do within it's confines is up to us. Will we use it to the fullest to bring glory to the LORD??? Or will we use it for self gratification and the fulfillment of our lust??? The answer is one that only you can make and is totally dependent upon your relationship with the LORD!!! Have you taken up your cross to follow HIM??? Or do you maneuver around within this world as a fleshly entity, wrapped in Christian apparel??? "Forsake all and follow me" isn't just a suggestion, but a command of our LORD. One we must strive to bring about within our lives!!!

The year that lays behind us should be considered, but not in a way that most would think. We must consider the "points" of our walks and those thing accomplished for the glory of GOD and leave behind those things that were worldly. We must also consider those places within the last year where GOD moved within our lives. Those places where HE was either leading us to learn from HIM a better WAY, or where HE was pruning us, teaching us those things that we needed to leave behind to perish in the winds of change!!! Many are those that will want to hold onto these things, when they're truly not for us to hold, only to reflect upon and learn the lessons of the LORD from within them.

Let us each lay hold of this day, live it to the fullest. Living it to the glory of the LORD and praying that if we do well with this task at hand, HE may well bless us with more days ahead to repeat this task!!!  GOD has set a path before us. HE has placed people in our way, people we should interact with and lead towards the proper paths for their own lives. We can not carry them along with us, but they must make their own choices. The choices they make are dependent upon that which you do to guide them, but ultimately it rest in the hands of the LORD. HE is the one that has directed your paths to cross. HE is the one that has formed each of you into that which you are and it is HE that has purpose for these interactions between your lives. So do your best to listen and react with these others. Do your best to follow your guide. Do your best to leave an impression that will continue to lead them on. This my friends is the way, we make the most of that which we've been blessed with and can look forward to days ahead, if it is HIS will !!! :{)))

Forgetfulness

Praise the LORD!!!

Most of us tend to forget that as we go through life in this world, this is not what we're to be living for!!!

...19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rustg consume and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rusth consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.(Matt. 6:19-21; NRSV)

We also tend to forget at what a great personal cost most of those mentioned in the Bible dealt with. Abraham left all that his life existed of to seek after GOD's leading. Ruth, she left behind all also, to glean in the fields of a stranger. Look at the disciples and all that they left to follow CHRIST. Even Peter when he stepped out of the boat left behind much. Think about it, he left behind common sense and all the laws of nature to which he'd lived his whole life.

The point here is, what are you willing to do(forget) in life, to obtain a full relationship with JESUS today???

A Merry CHRISTmas???

 Praise the LORD!!!

I'd like to pass on my heart felt greeting to all my readers, that of a Merry CHRISTmas:)))

Yet, you see the title above having question marks behind this!!! This is because the LORD has laid it upon my heart, for opening the eyes and hearts of many, to realize, there are many not so blessed. Yet some, are more highly blessed, though not in the ways of most others.

You see, I am sitting here at my computer, alone and if not for the blessings of two others(families), would not have received a single present. But this though, doesn't bother me in the least :))) Some background first, though.

Alone, because when I had gotten out of prison, my wife had forsaken our relationship and was living with another. Over a three year period, I tried numerous times to bring our relationship back together. Even to the point of allow her, our son and her current boyfriend to move in with me after they were evicted from their apartment. All that I did, came to no avail, for she and our boys(one stepson) refused to even begin to accept that the changes in my life were real and that JESUS was the only true source of happiness in this world. So after much prayer and listening, we departed company and I've not heard from them since '04.'

Having been here in Kingsville for over two years, you'd think that I'd have a family of friends around me, but I do not. Why, you may ask??? Though I've gone to several churches here and have worked with my hands on several people's houses, most kind of consider me strange. They can't understand me truthfully. "How can one always be praising the LORD and for the most part having nothing???" "How can this  man constantly talk about the LORD and that which HE's done and doing within his life when there seems to be so little he has???" "How can this man say he's a world changing ministry, when it is himself alone???"

The answer to everything above, is simple and clear, well maybe just to me. I've a faith in my LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST that surpasses all human understandings !!!!!!!

At one time...

 Praise the LORD!!!

At one time, while I was still in the prison of man(having been set free by the LORD), someone told me that I was "too heavenly minded, to be of any earthly good." Now, I'm sure most of you have heard this little statement used at sometime or another, if not maybe you should ponder it for a few minutes(?) I, more or less scoffed at the statement, at that time, not seeing that this is a possible state within Christian's lives. Not mine though(thank GOD), for I've been blessed to be well grounded in the LORD and seek not my own will, but HIS for me!!!

But, this state is possible within the lives of many and I will reveal cases of such here. You'll most likely be aware of those that are in this state and we must open their eyes to the truth in this matter!!! Anyone, that pays any attention to the events of the world, should have a general knowledge of this happening. For many times on the news and in other forms of media, we hear of many "miracles" being witnessed by the masses. Some of these are true miracles and many are not, for the adversary can and does use the "miraculous" to turn our eyes from the true glory of GOD and HIS purposes for us in life. These can be classed easily enough, as those that draw attention only towards and object(idol), person or place. Like the many "images" of JESUS or the Virgin Mary being found in or on many items. I don't think I need to list the many, that fit in this group.

What do these have to do with "being heavenly minded," a great deal. For they draw our attentions away from that which we are to be doing, to bring glory to the LORD, and towards something else. The greatest miracle of all, is one many simply overlook, this is the conversion(true) of an unbeliever. For it is a direct revelation of GOD working within a person's life. The preparation of the person's heart to receive the seed of the GOSPEL. The moving of GOD upon the saint, which plants this seed and then HIS watering of it and producing a baby saint!!! A true MIRACLE by the hand of GOD!!!!!!!

Perhaps the the greatest case of  "being heavenly minded" is one most would tend to overlook. Why??? Because people believe, due to errors in teaching and the pride of man, that it is GOD's will for us. Which it is, but not in the extent that people are concentrating upon it though and this has opened the door for satan to use, to draw people's attention away from the actual will of GOD. Let me first then, state that which is the will of GOD for us, which is truly simple, but often made complex by men wanting to do so. These are clearly stated in scripture, in the two great commandments(Matt. 22:37-40), in our loving our brothers and sisters in the faith (John 15:12), that we provide for the needs of others( Matt. 25:35,36; James 1:27) and(of coarse) to spread the GOSPEL(Matt. 28:18-20.) Sure there are a few other details in following the will of GOD in our lives, but these are an ample foundation to work from.

Now, for the major purpose of this article, the being "too heavenly minded." There are many today in the church that are seeking after "signs and wonders." Spending all their energy and effort on seeking after these and setting aside those things that the LORD wills for us to actually accomplish for HIM while here on earth. It is not in the seeking of these that the error occurs, but it is in the forsaking of all else set before us, to seek them.(John 4:48)

I could go forth from this, but am led to leave you with this alone. Are you seeking after all the pomp and circumstance of signs and wonders??? Or are you seeking to bring glory to the KINGDOM of GOD thru the love JESUS has poured forth for you??? Focusing only on the power of heaven in your life, is keeping you "heavenly minded" and your hands away from the true works GOD has set them about !!! Which shall it be???

Use these verses, but don't stop with them, cross reference and seek out GOD from within HIS WORD!!!

??? FOCUS ???

 Praise the LORD!!!
Good morning, and being that you're reading this, GOD has blessed you with another day of life. Something to be greatly thankful for and that which is often overlooked by many, if not most whom call themselves Christians.

If you've not noticed, I'm the one that opens every single comment or article I make, with a PTL!!! This due to several reasons: 1. the fact that I was born with a bad heart and for twelve years, planned for open heart surgery; 2. Though I'd known GOD was real and very prevalent within my life, had run from HIM for the most part and it was thru a book on praising GOD at all times, that HE used to bring me to living a totally changed life in JESUS. In a way, this isn't that which this is about, then again, it is:)))

Focus, what is it? Why is it important within our lives? Plus, why is the center of our focus, the most important part, especially for the Christian???

FOCUS, is, loosely, according to Webster's Dictionary, is the point at which our attentions are concentrated upon. Or we could say, that upon which our lives are centered upon. For the Christian, this is to be JESUS/GOD!!!

FOCUS, why is this of importance??? The intents of one's life, that which they focus their total being upon, is that which after all is said and done, describes a person and all that they do within life. Again, for the Christian, this is of a tantamount importance and it is TO BE GOD that holds this position within our lives!!!

FOCUS, the intents and purpose, our focus, is that which guides all that we do, or seek to do in this brief existence we call life. If our focus is upon ourselves, it is ourselves that receives all the glory in the end. We see this daily in the lives of many, scientist, sports star, movie stars and politicians to name but a few. For the Christian though, that which their lives "ARE" to be focused on, is to be GOD and HIS KINGDOM and not ourselves in any way, shape or form!!!

FOCUS: much could be written upon this topic and maybe some day will be by me, but for this time, it isn't the LORD's intents for this article. HIS intent is, that we as Christians, those that bear HIS precious name as our profession of faith in HIM, should have but one focus. That of HIS will for our lives. Not just once or several times a week, but that of every single second of it that we're blessed with!!! So my friend, where is your focus???

Faith

 Praise the LORD!!!

FAITH, we all should know the Bible's interpretation of it! Hebrews 11:1. But truly, how do we exhibit it in our daily lives, is the question that should concern us the most. For it is through our faith in GOD and HIS promises to us, that the world around us sees JESUS within us!!!

"Faith is not a once-done act, but a continuous gaze of the heart at the Triune God." (A. W. Tozer) Do we reveal our faith in our daily walk? Is it our concrete belief in GOD and HIS providence in our lives that is revealed through our actions and words?

As some of you may know, if you attend to my writings and post, that within several days, I may be homeless. Now, it's not because I've not been working that this is about to happen. Because I've spent most of the last month helping people with work that others had left unfinished or messed up. Part of the ministry's works are to assist people, such as these, and this is what I've been doing.

Many people in my position would be scrambling to the pawn shops or part time work to gain the money needed to meet their bills. They'd be worrying every spare moment, about those things that the future holds for them. Not me! I've faith, faith in the fact that GOD is who HE says HE is, and will fulfill all of HIS promises, just as written in scripture. I've personally been walking in the LORD for over sixteen years, much of which has been a constant living from day to day. Not being dependent on that which I could do to meet my needs. No, that of living and counting on the ultimate power of GOD to do just as HE's states, so many times within scripture.

I know GOD well enough, from all of this, that I know that no matter what happens, it will work out to bring glory to the precious name of JESUS, one way or another:))) (Romans 8:28) GOD has anointed me to this ministry and if I end up in several days, headed up the roadside with backpack and a wagon, so be it. I know that where my steps will be leading me, will come about to HIS glory. Where would I most likely head? Since I spent much time warning people of the recent storms, it'd most likely be to one of those areas destroyed by tornadoes. A place where people are in need, great need. Relief from their suffering, either through the works of my hands or the words of my mouth. This is putting ones faith into action for all to see. Not to see the glory of a man, but to see just what one man can accomplish when they've true faith in the one that has changed their lives totally. JESUS!!!

4.15.10_When in doubt

 Praise the LORD!!!

I'm sitting here at the computer this morning. It's raining outside and in general I'm feeling a bit down. Not a deep depression but a weight of not being of much worth to the LORD. This is something that happens every once in awhile to me, especially when I'm not seeing any movement in the ministry physically or in myself spiritually. I've been over all the verses and studied them well. Yet these periods still seem to befall me and drain me when they do. From experience I gather they're part of my growing in the LORD. A time of plateau or valley within my life to bring about a realization that there are times in every Christian's life that they feel this way. I've read numerous testimonies of others, that though they've large ministries or churches, they too admit that they have had these times also. So it is basically, something every Christian needs to be ready for.

How can you be ready for something like this? One moment you're feeling on top of the world and the next you're feeling as if the world is on top of you! Since I'm in front of my computer and I've my free online Bible study(http://bible.logos.com) open(since I can't run Logos and be online), I typed in "when in doubt." Within seconds, I've the first list up and ready to read through. The first reading listed is Matt.14:22-33, one I should be familiar with. Especially considering that it is where Peter "stepped out of the boat."  If you read this whole section, you realize that JESUS knew all these events were going to take place, right from the start. HE told the disciples to leave and go to the other side of the lake. HE then dismissed the people and went up on the mountainside to pray and then HE just took a leisurely stroll out to the boat where HIS teaching on faith was to take place(LORD, to have that kind of faith!!!).

The next section of verses is, Mark 11:20-24, another well read and known faith teaching. The parable of the fig tree, where CHRIST cursed the fig tree one day and the next it was dried up and dead and HE went into the discourse on our faith and prayers united in strength together. Where as, through our unwavering faith, if we pray for the impossible, by man's standards, to be done and we doubt not in the least, they will be done for us in the name of JESUS. You can count on the fact that I prayed after reading this!!!

Next, I'm led to James 1:2-8, where we're told about our sufferings are a means of growth. For through them we gain perseverance and it is not a finished work, but an ongoing operation within us. Something that develops over time and through the testing of our faith to make us into a faithful warrior who does not waver with every change within our life. For one that is without perseverance, is like one tossed about like a wave of the ocean, ever changing, with every change of teaching or tribulation that comes their way. Not a very good attitude to have and one where a great need for wisdom is needed. So we can tell the difference between that which is of GOD and that which is not.

Now the list on the study goes on for quite a bit, and I'm not going to give you all the verses, this would be more of a book then a devotional if I did that. But I will go with one more, for in a way it is where the LORD  left the disciples just before HIS ascension. Matt. 28:16-17(18-20) are these verses, because they speak of our doubting, our lack of faith. Yet this is also where the LORD graces us with our calling, assigning us the "Great Commission." For a second my mind came to rest on the fact that, for one moment some of the disciples were doubting, what they're doubting, we've no idea. But they are and the next thing we know, JESUS tells them how all power in heaven and earth has been given to HIM and they then receive the Great Commission and then HE's taken up right before their eyes. Want to talk about one powerful way to get a point across to those that are doubting. The point, that no matter what it is, how much you have to suffer through, or for how long, the LORD says, "My grace is sufficient for you(2 Cor. 12:9)." That is all that needs to be remembered!!!

So the next time trials and tribulations, or extended sufferings, or even just plain old everyday pressures of the world get me down, I'm going to relate to these verses. Now with a memory like 'Swiss cheese,' I may just have to type in the same search words or have to look up this devotional, but I'll find some way to jog my memory of these, LORD willing. Now I don't know about you, or your walk with the LORD. Or how often you also go through this type of "valley" within your life. But since I 'stepped out of the boat' last year and laid my life totally in the hands of the LORD, they've been more often and more intense. I know the reason for this oh so well though. For as we grow in faith and maturity in our walks, the adversary is going to be upon us even more so, and this is the way that the LORD prepares us to stand strong while under these attacks. The LORD knows more about us and our weaknesses and strengthens, then you can imagine. HE knows our past failures and our future triumphs and everything that it is going to take to bring us through to the day of victory. The fact is, that we are the ones that need to have the faith to realize this, and to stand strong upon the ROCK of our SALVATION, and know that the victory is ours through the power of JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR!!!

Some other verses from this search on faith and doubting: Matt. 21:18-22; Luke 24:33-43; Acts 28:1-10; Rom. 14:14-23; Jude 20-23
Use these verses, but don't stop with them, cross reference and seek out GOD from within HIS WORD!!!

3.06.10_Matt.28:18-20_Great Commission

   Praise the LORD!!!

Today I've been working on the ministry's website, a blog entry and networking on the social sites. The LORD has laid it upon my heart to write today's devotional on something we all should know well. The "Great Commission" as it is most commonly called by most who profess faith in JESUS. It is our calling as Christians to go out and make disciples of all the world. Opps! Getting a little ahead of things here:)))

   Matt. 28:18-20

"18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, l“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  19 mGo 3therefore and nmake disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  20 oteaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am pwith you always, even to the end of the age.” 4Amen."

As I was saying earlier, the great commission is the call upon all Christians to reach out to all those around the world, teaching them the truth of the GOSPEL and to those that have accepted it, train them in discipleship. When the LORD gave me these verses for today, I was adding some information to the VMNI web page. I was explaining how the LORD has laid it upon my heart, that to truly witness to HIS love for others, we must meet their physical needs first. If you're like me, there have been times when you were getting a bit hungry and it was impossible to keep your mind on that which you were doing! Well the same goes for when we're trying to witness to someone, if they're hungry or thirsty, or in need of the basics of life, its near impossible to convince them of their need of a SAVIOR which they can't see or touch.

We as Christians need to realize this, for it is a great truth and has most likely kept a lot of people from believing in JESUS whom we've witnessed to. It is far easier to witness to a spiritual need, then a physical one by far, unless that person is on their very death bed. If you've ever tried to witness to a street person or one that is homeless, you will of most likely come upon some resistance along these lines. They can't see JESUS for the fact that their physical needs far out weight the spiritual ones. But if you can meet these needs first, and do so by showing them the love of JESUS through your actions, you'll have then opened them up to listening to the GOSPEL and most likely have greater success at doing so.

Now verse twenty, touches on something that is truly lacking in our witnessing style today, and I do mean truly lacking, big time!! This is that which is promised(by men), but seldom completely followed through upon in most churches and evangelical crusades. That is, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."  I've been witness to many a sermon in my time as a Christian, and very rarely seen much follow up work done after bringing a new Christian into the fold. I truly do mean this and really, I'm ashamed of this fact (I can only imagine what the LORD thinks about it.!) We convert a person to belief in JESUS and HIS power to transform their lives and then we leave them to seek out the rest all on their own. Sure we invite them to attend our churches and Bible studies, but true, one on one counseling as to how they need to go about growing in their new belief, is left out. An LORD forbid you were saved while watching Christian TV, because once you call or write them, they send you a little booklet telling you what to do next and a price list of "more fine books and tapes to teach you."(Mark 11:15-19)

If you've read my book, "Out of the LIGHT," this is exactly what happened to me on my early call to JESUS. I was in a service and had accepted JESUS into my life and then just left hanging. No one to lead me, no one to counsel me, just left to fend for myself. Needless to say, my walk with the LORD didn't last all to long and I was right back to where I started(Matt. 12:43-45), living the old life however I chose. Now though, I know that this was just the initial planting of a seed within  my life, and that there was the need for me to develop my testimony more, and that it wasn't time for me to take on the imagine of CHRIST yet. But time is getting short and we've not the twenty or so years for a person to develop on their own. We as mature Christians, need to step up, and begin doing that which we're commanded to. Teaching people all that the LORD has taught us and making them into disciples also. There is no way around this, it is a command we were given by JESUS HIMSELF. To train these people, to show the love of the LORD to them first hand and to lift them up so as they too can effect people's live for the KINGDOM of GOD.

To do this though, we ourselves must be strong in our faith, well studied and proficient in discerning the truth set forth in the GOSPEL. We can not be as the waves of the ocean, tossed to and fro by ever teaching of men(Eph. 4:14). We must be firmly rooted, by the river of living waters, ready to produce abundant fruit for the KINGDOM. So dust off your Bibles, turn off the TV, pray for guidance, wisdom and knowledge and step out upon the ROCK of our salvation. Reach out your hand and touch another persons heart for the LORD and be able to go the distance. To not just convert them, but to nurture them and teach them all that the LORD has taught you. Let us rise up and bring forth a new generation of Born Again believers that can stand at our side in the harvest field, reaping the rewards that the LORD has set out for us, the souls of those in a lost and dieing world, a world of darkness and despair. A world where there is truly only one hope worth striving for. A deep personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST, KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS!!!

01-31-10_ Acts 26:14

  Praise the LORD!!!

Due to computer problems this post is a little late and will also be the one posted for tomorrow. Praise the LORD!!! There is a force that truly isn't liking that which I'm doing, so I'll put even more effort into it once I return online. Please pray for the ministry and myself for the adversary is mounting a heavy assault against us, but we know the end of the BOOK and we shall be victorious in JESUS' name!!!

   Acts 26:14

"We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard to kick against the goads.'"

This may not be that which you think it would be. For the LORD led me to an understanding of this that is a bit different and has to deal with events I've seen recently on several of the sites which I post on. There are many whom call themselves Christians, that have been openly blasting others of the faith online. This because their views differ in some way or another from theirs. This kind of behavior in itself is un- Christian, it is not the way scripture tells us to confront diversity within understandings or teachings. It does little more then tear down the view outsiders have of the church and our faith in general.

The church as stated in scripture is made up of many differing parts, much like the human body. Arms, legs, feet, fingers and the like. Will a glove fit on a foot and work as it is meant to? Will a stocking cap keep your legs warm? Simple put, NO! With the many parts of the body, there are differing needs, as well of methods of their being used. The same is true with the church, some are meant to reach out to the youth, so they use contemporary music and worship as the means. Others reach out to the needy, so they go forth with humble hearts as the hands of the LORD would, providing their needs and assisting in whatever manor they can.

Who among us can say without the slightest of doubts that GOD hasn't brought about all the differing means of worship, symbolism and even the names that we use for HIM? I don't think I can and I wouldn't. For CHRIST  told the disciples when they had rebuked one for casting out demons in HIS name, yet he wasn't one of the, "Do not stop him,...for whoever is not against you, is for you." So who among us can rightly put down another Christian because of their differing manor of service? I know I can't and won't either, for anyone that truly calls upon the LORD JESUS has but one judge, CHRIST HIMSELF! So what if they call HIM something other then JESUS, or they used contemporary signage or music to draw peoples attention to HIM. They're not preaching against belief in HIM or anything that isn't scriptural, they're just using another means, maybe not one of your choosing, but they are preaching, witnessing or caring for their neighbor as CHRIST would have us all do!

Those that truly need to have our attentions focused upon them are those that are teaching ways totally outside of scripture. Those that are preaching the words of men, something that god has only given them. That which is not the GOSPEL contained within the Bible or that which has been modified outside of that which is taught within the Bible. These are those that need to have our attentions focused on them and not others that preach, dress, sing or worship in a manor differing then ours, but abiding to that which is in the Bible.

On my recent trip to Texas, at one of the layovers, I saw a man all decked out in tattoos. Boasting loudly about his artwork and how his life was centered around them. I was about to go talk to him, because he seemed quite prideful. After praying, which I always do before witnessing, I was led not to, but to watch and see what would come next. Like a light switch had been flipped, the man's demeanor completely changed. He'd gotten the attention of the six or so people around him completely, when suddenly he began to witness to the power of JESUS within his life. I listened to one of the most beautiful testimonies I've ever heard and this from a man covered in tattoos and piercings. Praise the LORD!!! I had to leave before he was completed, but I'd say that this man, and probably some of those he was talking to, names are written in the LAMD's Book of LIFE!!! So the next time you want to speak out about another Christian's manors or techniques, how about praying on it first and allowing GOD to lead you on what to say or do!!! Also ask yourself, who are you persecuting, the person and their ways or your SAVIOR?

Praise the LORD!!!

Yesterday when I'd finished editing my post for today I added the little note about not thinking it had anything to do with the referenced verse and putting the matter to prayer and as led posted it! Well I now know why, it wasn't finished. Today I will go on where the LORD had me leave off.

After covering the area of our online time and how it can either be used as a blessing for GOD, or distract our attentions away from GOD. I'll go into other areas of our lives where the adversary can and will use our lives and surroundings to keep our eyes focused somewhere other then GOD and HIS wonder working power over all creation.

In this day and age we have many problems which distract our attentions away from GOD. With the current state of the economic systems around the world being a mess, this is a very potent weapon against us. For our money has a direct influence on the manor in which we live. Whether we are thriving or just surviving, both can be used against GOD's influence within our daily existence. When people have amassed large fortunes they tend to focus their attentions on maintaining their wealth. This in itself isn't wrong, what is though is worrying about it and placing it before our duty to the LORD. In doing this, we've placed our focus on the money and not GOD. Plainly put, we are worshiping an idol, something our very own hands, though with the blessings of GOD, have acquired and built up. No difference between this and making an idol out of wood or precious metals. It is that which we've formed and shaped and placed before GOD as our source of provision and protection!

This also goes for those that are just barely surviving due to financial woes. They will tend to focus their thoughts and actions on seeking out their livelihood on their own, even though there may be a lot of prayers, and taking their focus of HE that has promised to provide all of our needs. Now working to make a living isn't wrong, but when we focus more on the work we do to make a living then we do on the GOD whom has given us the abilities to work and make it, then we've lost sight of what GOD wants from us. Our devotion and dependence upon HIM, also our faith that in no matter what is happening around us, or to us, we know that GOD is the ultimate source of it all. Not ourselves and the little works of our hands.. It is GOD and all that HE's blessed us with being able to do through HIS grace!!!

Now we come to our health. Where does our good health come from? All that is good comes from GOD! When our health isn't as we think it should be, we begin praying for the LORD to heal us and when we've not received instant healing we begin to moan and grumble about all our aches and pains. Now GOD has promised to heal us 'by the stripes of JESUS' and HE has, for that verse reads 'were healed', not will be or might be, but 'were.' Now you say you know this, but you're still not received the healing, because you still have the problem. Well, where are your eyes focused? On the healer or on being healed? If you are focusing on being healed, your eyes are looking in the wrong place! The HEALER has said you were healed already and you should be thanking HIM for allowing you to receive it and see it. Not on the facts that you see, but on the facts that you KNOW GOD has healed you. Every little bit that you doubt in GOD and HIS ability to do exactly what HE has promised hinders your ability to receive that which you seek!!! Take for instance breathing. Do you doubt that when you take your next breath that there will be air there to inhale? Most likely not! You have not doubt at all that it will be there and you receive it into your lungs really not even thinking twice about it, its a natural, or a given. This is the same manor we need to realize GOD has given us all the blessed promises, they are ours we just need to grab hold of them and not think twice about it.Just remember to be thankful when it happens!!!

We need to learn to take our eyes off the act of getting our needs met and focus on the fact that GOD says they've already been met and even this to a greater extent then we can imagine. Trusting in GOD is most likely our biggest problem in life. We need to seek HIM out in everything we do, no matter how trivial it may seem and be thankful for the fact that it has already been considered by HIM and provided for us. This is faith in GOD and all that HE is and does in this thing we call life!!!

Other verses to read: there were no verses to feed this entry, for it came off of yesterday's, so you can go back over those if you wish. Personally I love reading scripture numerous times, because GOD always seem to open them up in some new way. This is why we call it the " Living WORD," it isn't static, though the words themselves never change, it is how GOD's HOLY SPIRIT moves upon them within our lives giving us a fresh revelation of them.

Use these verses, but don't stop with them, cross reference and seek out GOD from within HIS WORD!!!
